Chinese Steamed Fish
This is not even considered a recipe but I am just writing this down for myself. I can’t believe it took me this long to make this after growing up eating this (but usually as a whole fish).
Ingredients
- Cod — 4-6 oz fillet (good portion for one person)
- Scallion — 1, chopped
- Ginger — thin slices
- Soy sauce — to taste
- Canola oil — generous amount
Instructions
- Place cod in a bowl. Steam for 5 minutes or so (watch closely and do not overcook). Insert a knife to make sure it’s cooked.
- When done, top with scallion, ginger and soy sauce.
- Heat up a generous amount of oil in a pan and pour over the fish to finish it off.
