Chinese Steamed Fish

Chinese Steamed Fish

This is not even considered a recipe but I am just writing this down for myself. I can’t believe it took me this long to make this after growing up eating this (but usually as a whole fish).

Ingredients

  • Cod — 4-6 oz fillet (good portion for one person)
  • Scallion — 1, chopped
  • Ginger — thin slices
  • Soy sauce — to taste
  • Canola oil — generous amount

Instructions

  1. Place cod in a bowl. Steam for 5 minutes or so (watch closely and do not overcook). Insert a knife to make sure it’s cooked.
  2. When done, top with scallion, ginger and soy sauce.
  3. Heat up a generous amount of oil in a pan and pour over the fish to finish it off.
